Privacy notice

What we collect

Only what you choose to send us through the enquiry form — your name, phone number, email address if you give one, your town, your vehicle, and whatever you write in the description of the problem.

Analytics and advertising

This site uses Google Analytics, through a Google tag, so we can see how many people visit, which pages they read and which towns they come from. We use it to work out whether our advertising is worth the money. We look at it as totals and trends — it does not tell us who you are, and we do not try to identify individual visitors from it.

To do that, Google sets cookies on your device and receives your IP address (which Google shortens before storing), the pages you view and rough location information. That means Google does learn that a visit to this site happened. If you would rather it did not, you can block cookies for this site in your browser, use your browser's “Do Not Track” or private-browsing mode, or install Google's own opt-out add-on. The site works perfectly well with all of it blocked — nothing on these pages depends on it.

What we still do not do

Beyond that one Google tag, there is nothing else: no social media buttons, no third-party fonts, no advertising pixels from anyone other than Google, no chat widgets and no session recording. We never sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

The only thing we store on your device is your Display settings choice, kept in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. It never leaves your device and we cannot see it.

Why we use it

To reply to your enquiry, quote your job, book you in, and follow up about the work. That is all. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

Who else sees it

Our website host processes the form submission in order to deliver it to us, and our email provider stores the resulting message. Neither is permitted to use your information for their own purposes. Google receives the visit information described above under Analytics, but never anything you type into the contact form. We do not sell, rent or trade personal information to anyone.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within twelve months. Records relating to work we actually carried out are kept longer, because we need them for warranty, parts traceability and tax purposes.

Server logs

Like any website, ours sits behind a host that keeps short-term technical logs — IP address, time, page requested — for security and troubleshooting. These are not used to build a profile of you and are discarded on the host's own schedule.

Your choices

Children

This site is aimed at people booking vehicle repairs and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this notice changes we will update the date below. Material changes will be flagged on the site itself.
