Complete brake service

Everything that makes you stop

Brakes are the only system on your vehicle that has to work perfectly every single time you use it. We specialise in them so nothing gets a second-guess.

Oil changes, too

Synthetic blend from $49 and full synthetic from $55 for most cars — the oil your manual specifies, a new filter, and a look over your brakes while it drains. At the shop, or at your door anywhere we cover.

Know before it costs you

Six signs your brakes are asking for help

Catch it at the pad stage and it is a routine job. Ignore it until the backing plate is cutting the rotor and you have doubled the bill.

  • A high squeal that stops when you brake hardThat is the wear indicator — a little metal tab designed to make noise. It means you have weeks, not months.
  • GrindingThe friction material is gone and steel is cutting steel. Stop driving it — this one turns a $200 job into a $600 one very quickly.
  • The pedal pulses under your footUsually rotor runout or uneven pad deposits. You feel it worst coming down off a hill at speed.
  • A soft or sinking pedalAir, moisture or a leak in the hydraulics. This is the one that does not give you a warning shot — get it looked at now.
  • It pulls to one side when you brakeOne side is doing more work than the other — normally a seized caliper or a collapsed flex hose.
  • One wheel is filthier than the other threeHeavy dust on a single wheel usually means that corner is dragging. Cheap to catch now, expensive to catch later.

How it works

No surprises, start to finish

  1. You call or book online

Tell us the year, make, model and what you are hearing. That is usually enough for us to give you a ballpark on the phone.

  2. We measure, then quote

Wheels off, pads and rotors measured, hydraulics checked. You get one number covering parts and labour — and we show you what we found.

  3. You decide what gets done

If the rotors have life left in them, we say so. Nothing gets replaced because it was easier to sell you a pair.

  4. Torqued, bedded, road-tested

Lugs to spec with a torque wrench, pads bedded in on a proper road test, and you leave with a pedal that feels like new.

The standard

Work you can look at

Brakes are not glamorous, but done right they look right — clean hardware, fresh friction surfaces, everything torqued and road-tested before handover.

New drilled and slotted brake rotor fitted to a wheel hub
Rotors measured, then fitted — never guessed
Mechanic in work gloves refitting a wheel
Every lug torqued to spec, by hand
Red brake caliper visible behind the spokes of a black alloy wheel
Finished corner — pads bedded on a road test

“I started this shop with one rule: nothing gets replaced that I can’t show you a measurement for. You’ll see the numbers, you’ll see the worn parts, and the price I quote is the price you pay. That’s the whole business.”

5.0 Google rating

We are new, and every one of those stars was earned one brake job at a time. If we do right by you, two minutes on Google is the biggest thank you there is.

Inside a real brake job

Real photos from one of Jayden’s jobs, no staging. Pennsylvania road salt is brutal on brakes, and it shows the moment a wheel comes off — so here’s what came off, and what went on.

  1. Front brake with the wheel removed: rusty caliper, rotor and hub, with a red floor jack beside it
Before Wheel off, old pads still in
  2. Close-up of heavy orange rust between the cooling vanes of a vented brake rotor, beside the caliper bracket
The rust What road salt does to a rotor’s cooling vanes
  3. Gloved hand holding a new brake pad on top of the worn, rust-edged pad it replaces
Old vs. new Old pad under the new one — you get the old parts back
  4. Rusty caliper and rotor with bright new brake pads showing through the caliper windows
After New pads in, ready for the wheel to go back on

We come to you

Mobile brake service across Columbia County

Losing half a day to a brake job is its own kind of expensive. Our mobile service brings the whole setup to your driveway, your workplace car park or your fleet yard — jack, stands, torque wrench and parts. The work costs exactly what it costs at the shop; the only addition is travel, which is free in Bloomsburg and the towns right around it and charged by zone beyond that.

All we need is a flat, solid surface to work from and enough room to get the wheels off. Gravel and steep driveways are usually fine; tell us what you have when you book and we will say straight away if it will work.

Mobile works well for

  • Pads and rotors on cars, trucks, vans and SUVs
  • Caliper replacement and brake hoses
  • Fluid flushes and bleeds
  • Oil changes
  • Small fleets — one travel fee covers the visit, not each vehicle

Better done at the shop

  • Rusted-solid hard lines that need re-running
  • Master cylinder and ABS module work
  • Anything on a slope, in snow, or with no room to jack

Where we work

Serving Bloomsburg & all of Columbia County

The shop is in Bloomsburg, and bringing the vehicle to us never carries a travel charge. We also come to you — right across Columbia County and over the line into Montour, Northumberland and Luzerne — with travel charged by zone and shown on the quote before you agree to anything.

Not on the list? Check the travel zones or just ask — if you are out past the edge we will tell you honestly whether the trip makes sense or whether driving to us is cheaper.

Straight answers

Questions we get asked every week

How much does a brake job cost in Bloomsburg?

Pads and rotors on one axle start at $245 for most cars, $295 for trucks, SUVs and vans, and $375 for heavy-duty or European vehicles — parts, labour and a road test included. Pads on their own start at $145.

We quote the exact number before we touch anything, and the quote is what you pay. Full menu on the services page.

How long does a brake job take?

Pads and rotors on one axle take about 60 to 90 minutes. Both axles run around two to three hours. Seized calipers, snapped bleeder screws or rusted-on rotors add time — and if your vehicle looks like it will be one of those, we tell you before we start rather than after.

Do you come to me, or do I bring the vehicle to you?

Either. The shop is in Bloomsburg and bringing the vehicle to us never carries a travel charge. We also run a mobile service across Columbia County and just over the line — Berwick, Danville, Catawissa, Millville, Elysburg, Orangeville and the rest.

Mobile work happens in your driveway, your workplace car park or your fleet yard, as long as there is a flat, solid surface to jack from. There is a travel fee based on your zone — nothing in Bloomsburg and the towns right around it — and it is on the quote before you agree to anything. See what travel costs.

Is the brake inspection really free?

Yes, at the shop, with no obligation. We pull the wheels, measure pad and rotor thickness with a micrometer, check the fluid, and show you the numbers.

If your brakes are fine, we will tell you they are fine. That is the entire point of doing it free — you remember who did not sell you something.

How do I know my brakes need replacing?

The common signs are squealing that stops when you brake harder, grinding, a pedal that pulses or feels soft, the vehicle pulling to one side under braking, or a dashboard brake light.

Any grinding means metal on metal — stop driving it and call us. Pennsylvania's annual safety inspection also fails brakes below the minimum thickness, so a lot of people find out at inspection time.

Do you work on trucks and fleet vehicles?

Yes — light trucks, vans, SUVs and small commercial fleets. Fleet work is usually better done mobile so your vehicles never leave the yard, and we can schedule several units into one visit. The travel fee is charged per visit rather than per vehicle, so doing them together is the cheapest way.

Do you do oil changes?

Yes — synthetic blend from $49 and full synthetic from $55 for most cars, with a new filter and a look over your brakes while it drains. At the shop in Bloomsburg, or at your door, where mobile visits start at the $95 minimum call-out. See oil change prices.

Stop strong. Drive confident.

Free inspection, a fixed quote, and brakes that feel right the first time you touch the pedal.
