Every recommendation comes with a number next to it — pad thickness in millimetres, rotor thickness against the minimum stamped on the part. If we cannot show you why something needs replacing, we do not replace it.

Two jobs, done properly
JG Brake & Rotor Co. is Jayden Geiswite's shop — the JG on the badge is his initials. It does two things: brakes, and oil changes. Not transmissions, not exhaust, not "while we're in there." Pads, rotors, calipers, fluid, hoses and lines, plus a straight oil change, on cars, trucks, vans and SUVs.
That narrowness is the whole point. When a shop does everything, your brake job waits behind whatever is already on the lift, and it gets quoted by someone who priced a head gasket an hour ago. When brakes and oil are all you do, you have the parts on the shelf, you know the vehicle, and a brake job takes ninety minutes instead of a day.
Jayden is new at this — 2026 new — and knows exactly what that means: every single customer has to be earned. So the shop does the things that make that easy. Measure before recommending. Quote before starting. Hand you the worn parts afterwards so you can see precisely what you paid for.

The quote is the price
You get one number covering parts, labour and any travel before a tool touches the vehicle. If we find something genuinely unexpected once the wheel is off, we stop and call you — we never just add it to the bill.
Best prices, and we mean it
Bring us a written quote from another shop for the same parts and the same work. If we cannot beat it, we will tell you to take the other quote — that is a better outcome for you than us pretending.
You get the old parts back
Every worn pad and scored rotor comes back to you unless you tell us to bin it. It is the simplest possible proof that the work we charged for is the work we did.
Local, and it matters
Columbia County roads are hard on brakes
Brakes here take more punishment than the mileage suggests. Winter salt on Route 11 and I-80 eats hardware, hard lines and rotor hats, and the damp off the North Branch keeps it working long after the roads have dried. The ridges either side of the valley mean you ride the brakes downhill in a way flat country never demands.
Add the vehicles that tow or haul at least part of the year, and you get the pattern we see constantly: local brake jobs coming back early because the pads were fine but the hardware was rusted, the pins were dry, or the fluid was three years past due. We fix the cause, not just the symptom.
